2) NET or similar eligibility test accredited by the UGC (with exemption as per the guidelines, for Ph.D. registration prior to July 11, 2009).

3) Ph.D. degree (in the case the NET requirement is waived as per the UGC guidelines and University advertisement).

4) Specialisation in spectroscopy / theoretical chemistry / physical chemistry.
